This is a big deal, as it’s the first of our sites to have HGV MOT tests carried out on site. VOSA have plans to appoint ATFs throughout the UK to facilitate 85% of HGV MOT tests being carried out at non-VOSA facilities. They can then close and sell off some of their sites. All operators looking to book an MoT test in the Frome area will be directed in the first instance to our depot (so long as the vehicle is a maximum of 9 metres long, as Frome is limited to these). The main benefits to operators will be a reduced distance to the test centre. Our customers can have the preparation done in one bay and the test carried out on the same site. Several other Imperial Commercials workshops are looking into becoming an ATF.
